31.01.-01.02.2009 Tirol

Und wieder einmal habe ich fuer meine Arbeitsstelle eine Fahrt durch Oesterreich gemacht. Diesmal hat es mich nach Tirol und Vorarlberg (ganz im Westen des Landes) verschlagen. Die Nacht habe ich in Tirols Landeshauptstadt Innsbruck verbracht und mir am Morgen meiner Rueckfahrt die Stadt ein wenig angesehen. Waere es nicht so neblig gewesen... =P Nunja, auf [Bild 1] ist der gruene Fluss Inn zu sehen mit den bunten Haeusern entlang des Ufers gegenueber der historischen Altstadt und [Bild 2] zeigt das Wahrzeichen Innsbrucks: das Goldene Dachl, gedeckt mit ueber 2600 vergoldeten Kupferschindeln.
Nur 60km (oder so) flussabwaerts liegt das kleine Staedtchen Kufstein, wo ich noch etwas abliefern sollte. Da hier im Gegensatz zu Innsbruck richtig schoenes Wetter war, habe ich ebenfalls eine kleine Rundwanderung gemacht. Das Stadthaus mit der Festung Kufstein im Hintergrund ist auf [Bild 3] zu sehen und auf [Bild 4] habt ihr nochmal ein nettes Panorama mit Stadt, Burg und wieder dem Inn... =)

And again I made a trip through Austria for my work. This time I went to Tirol and Vorarlberg (in the far west of the country). I spent the night in Tirol's State Capital, Innsbruck and on the morning of my return I took a closer look on this city. If it only hadn't been so foggy... =P Well, on [pic 1] you can see the green river "Inn" with these colourful houses along the river opposite the historic city centre and [pic 2] shows Innsbruck's landmark: the "Goldenes Dachl" (golden 'little' roof), covered with more than 2600 gold-plated copper shingles.
Just 60km something down the river, there is the small city named Kufstein, where I made a delivery. In contrast to Innsbruck, the weather was pretty nice here, so I made a short sightseeing tour as well. The City Hall with the Kufstein Castle in the background can be seen on [pic 3] and on [pic 4] you'll have a nice view of city, castle and again the river Inn... =) Just for my english speaking readers: do you see the "Cafe Hell" on the red building in the centre of the picture? However, the german word "hell" means "bright, clear" - not what it sounds like... =P
