Tag 2, Venedig - day 2, Venice

Eigentlich wollte ich morgens mit einem vaporetto dem Sonnenaufgang entgegen fahren, aber da bei "B&B Rota" das mit dem Fruehstueck ein kleines Problem ist, wars schon etwas spaeter... habe ich euch eigentlich schon von diesem Etablissement abgeraten? ^^ immerhin war es etwas neblig, wodurch das [Bild 1] doch recht gut geworden ist =) zu sehen ist die Kirche "Santa Maria della Salute" am Ende des Canal Grande. Von dort aus hat man auch eine nette Sicht auf den Markusplatz mit dem Campanile (Glockenturm) [Bild 2]. Durch solche Gassen [Bild 3] geht man fast ueberall in der ganzen Stadt - hier auf meinem Weg in den Norden, von wo aus man die Insel der Glasblaeser erreicht: Murano [Bild 4]. Dieser Stadtteil ist wie ein kleines, sauberes und ruhiges Venedig, das auch weniger von Touristen ueberlaufen ist - und man kann hier viel entspannter nen Macchiato trinken =D zwischen dem centro storico und Murano liegt die Insel San Michele, die Friedhofsinsel der Stadt [Bild 5]. Leider war nicht so viel besinnliche Stille, denn die Stechmuecken auf San Michele sind offensichtlich sehr aggressiv =/ Im Anschluss hab ich mit der Linie 42 eine Rundfahrt um die Stadt gemacht - mit netten Panoramen [Bild 6] (=

Actually, I wanted to take an early vaporetto to see the sunrise, but there were certain problems with the breakfast at "B&B Rota", so I was a little late... did I already tell you NOT to stay at this place? ^^ at least it was a little foggy and so [pic 1] turned out quiet well =) you see the church "Santa Maria della Salute" at the end of Canal Grande. From there you get a nice view of St. Mark's Square with the Campanile (bell tower) [pic 2]. You pass narrow alleys like this [pic 3] almost everywhere in the city - here I was on my way to the north, from where you can reach the island of the glassmakers: Murano [pic 4]. This quarter is a smaller, cleaner and calmer version of Venice and less crowded with tourists - where you can have a macchiato in a relaxed atmosphere =D between the centro storico and Murano lies the Island of San Michele, the cemetery island of Venice [pic 5]. Unfortunately it wasn't so calm there, as the mosquitoes on San Michele are apparently rather aggressive =/ afterwards I took Line 42 for a round trip around the city - with nice panoramic views [pic 6] (=
